   I guess the closest it has been is SuperBowl XIX Stanford Stadium
   Palo Alto, California
   Miami Dolphins vs San Francisco 49ers
   and SuperBowl XI at Pasadena, California
   Los Angeles Rams vs Pittsburgh Steelers

   in1980 the superbowl was played in the Rose bowl.
   The LA Rams played the Steelers and lost
   Steelers 31
   Rams 19
   1985 Super Bowl was played at Stanford College in Palo Alto, California, Close to San Francisco
   The Niners Beat the Dolphins
   Niners 38
   Dolphins 16

   superbowl XIV steelers beat rams in passendena that is near L.A and rams were from L.A back then i think there is more.
