1. decide what type of cause your interested in helping…kids? homeless? women? environment? international problems? etc. you can then search charities that you can send money too. just be sure a good portion of money for every dollar you send is given to who your trying to help and not just the execs of that charity.
2. decide how your going to raise money. raffle? danceathon? charity walk? etc.
3. choose a location + put up fliers to promote it. just make sure you do things legally. you can ask your parents to make sure
First you pick the charity, then you contact them and ask permission to raise funds in their name. They will suggest what is an acceptable fundraiser. You do realize it takes a year of preparation to pull it all together. Are you willing and able to donate that length of time?
There is also out of pocket expenses such as phone calls, advertising, postage. Can you afford that
