How Do I Switch From Godaddy Hosting?

i signed up for 3 months of godaddy hosting and im really not happy with it and would like to switch hosting as soon as its up. Do i just let it expire? I read online about it being difficult to get out of hosting and moving your domain from godaddy. my domain is registered for a year.

  1. Don’t worry about the domain name service godaddy provides, it works just fine. But godaddy hosting sucks … it really does, a lot of people complaining about that. So just backup your website via ftp and move to a new host. One cheap and reliable host is Hostgator. You can test it’s hosting plans out for free using a hostgator coupon that you can find athttp://www.getbest.info/hostgator-coupon…
Once you sign up with hostgator and upload your backupped website to Hostgator account you just have to change the DNS (domain name server) information at godaddy and you will have the domain name pointing to your new Hostgator account in few minutes. It is highly recommended that you keep your domain name at one place (godaddy for example) and host your website at another place (hostgator) because then it is very easy to move to a new host if you need to, you just have to change the DNS information.
Btw, if you also want to move your domain name away from godaddy, I advise to use namecheap.com, it rocks, people know that, it has amazing support.
    I hope this helps!
