Is There A Photo Hosting Site That Will Accept Directly From The Camera?

My brother’s images from his new camera are too large for his OLD pc.
Is there a photo hosting site, such as photobucket, that will upload directly from a digital camera?

  1. He’d still have to plug his camera into his computer, but Shutterfly should be able to access them without actually putting the pics on his pc.
Shutterfly is nice, its free and there are no size limits.

  2. l may be an Academic but when it comes to gadgets l am not fantastic although taught myself to cope with Vista pre,how much memory l needed and there are 2 types etc.
Overall if his Computer will not accept the images he can do a couple of things
1.Overall it is cheaper to print them out at Stores overall and then he can scan them and send onto someone assuming his printer/Scanner is up to date with all the current software.
l have a Canon and a KODAK Easyshare and am able to place the card or connect directly to the computer as have loads of room ie memory and RAM.
One of your answerer’s sounded like he knew more than me but l am not in your Country so our devices like photbucket we do not use.
Another suggestion.Go to the Whirlpool site and ask tech questions there they are computer and gadget savvy and he should get loads of answers. The other sites will come up if he types in on Google his question or alternatively accesses sites like PC User or other magazine sites that ONLY deal with these issues.Good luck sorry l could not be of more help.l sem to spend more time swearing at my computer in about 7 languages than anything else a lthough touch wood no issues lately so if your brother is going to get a new Computer which he will get him to do his homework really really well as Windows 7 is now being released but all that is is an improved Vista.

  3. Hi Chetco, I wish I could help you. My brother send me pictures but he is a computer programmer but he lived in N.Y. He sent me pictures but I couldn’t open it. He went with me step by step, he said I have to expand the memory, and I asked him which memory mine or the computer? ha ha a little bit of humor. I think he use the scanner. After he spent almost one hour I did everything I could and the problem remained the same. I think I’m going throw this computer through the window and I hope it doesn’t expand anybody’s memory when it reached the floor.
I’m going to ask my friend because he took some pictures and made a DVD and I played in my computer and it worked. Have a good night

  4. In order to reach any photo hosting site, the images have to go through his computer.
If his computer is running on an operating system older than XP, he needs to upgrade in any case …. dealing with image files is CPU and RAM intensive … He should have at least a 320 GB hard drive, 2 GB of RAM and a DVD burner to backup his work.
Most photo hosting sites will not allow you to save 5 to 12 MB files and if they do, you are limited to the amount of free storage.

  5. if you have a usb cord you can download the pics from your camera to your computer it’s easy then you can print them there you go

  6. Most chain drug stores,CVS,Wallmart, etc.,have these services.
In fact, most cost less than you could[if you could] because of the cost of photo paper, etc.
    I hope this helps. roy

  7. You can try setting up an account with http://www.shutterfly.com and see if that is what you want!
