Don’t think I’d spend time on surveys - a domain name is under 2 quid (for a .info, on http://www.godaddy.com) and if you spend about a fiver you can get a .co.uk domain and free hosting at http://www.heartinternet.co.uk (though if you have really popular content you will quickly use up the 100 MB of traffic and will need to consider paid for hosting.
You could also look on Ebay for a deal. I’ve had a domain and a year’s hosting for US$ 9.99 in the past (OK, nearer to 7 quid than 5 now but still cheap).

Well you can never really trust these deals. And anyways, hosting and domain names are so cheap now, you may aswell just buy it. It’s not like it’s a considered purchase anymore.
